Is this too much? Also, ever since I installed Zone Alarm my internet seems to be running slow. Does zone alarm slow you down and will I be safe if I remove it?

No. Those are great. Depending on your ram, it could be making it slow. You could remove it but you need a firewall so try another like Comodo, Kerio, Outpost, or something besides Windows

Zone Alarm does slows your internet connection since the incoming traffic are scanned. You can uninstall the Zone Alarm.
